- Everything you save — favorites, reading history, notification times — stays on your device only.
- There are no accounts, no ads, and no analytics or tracking of any kind in this version of the app.
What this app is
Gita Today is a Bhagavad Gita reading app that delivers one shloka (verse) at a time with its meaning, explanation, and a reflection prompt. It works entirely offline.
Data we collect
None. Gita Today has no server, no user accounts, and makes no network requests. We — the developer — never receive any information about you or how you use the app.
The app does store a small amount of information locally, only on your own device, so the app can function:

None of this ever leaves your device. Uninstalling the app deletes it permanently. We have no way to access it, back it up, or recover it.
Permissions
The app requests one permission: notifications, used only to deliver the daily verse reminder you configure in Profile. You can deny or revoke this at any time in your device's system settings without affecting any other part of the app.
Third parties
Gita Today does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting services. No data is shared with anyone because none is collected in the first place.
Children's privacy
Gita Today is suitable for a general audience and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information from anyone at all.
Changes to this policy
If Gita Today ever adds a feature that changes what's described here — for example, an optional cloud backup in a future version — this page will be updated first, with a new effective date above, before that feature ships.
